APEX: PARENTS FOR EDUCATIONAL EXCELLENCE PROGRAM CONTINUES TO IMPACT THE LATINO COMMUNITY

The ASPIRA Parents for Educational Excellence (APEX) program continues to impact the Latino community as another session of the ASPIRA APEX program has nurtured and trained one more program graduate into a team facilitator. With these types of success stories there is no coincidence between ASPIRA’s goals and the uplifting of Latino communities. These types of results are true evidence of the effectiveness of the APEX program.

“The thought of talking about myself and my challenges in front of a group of strangers terrified me. To my surprise, the APEX workshops gave me an excellent learning experience. It helped to increase my knowledge of people and the community and to develop the confidence I needed to focus on my future ventures. I now have a better understanding as a parent on how to treat and involve myself with my children at home and in their school. I am actually really proud to be a part of the ASPIRA organization as a facilitator of the APEX program. This new opportunity will not only allow me to transmit what I have learned but allow me to help other parents who, like me, needed help to transform into good leaders and become more active in our community and children’s schools.”- Maria Ramos APEX Graduate/ Facilitator (Bridgeport, CT)
