IN THE COMMUNITY: "LATIN HURRICANES" COMPLETE ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL HOLIDAY FOOD DRIVE
For the past seven years the New Britain High School ASPIRA Club members have participated, hand-in-hand, with The Salvation Army donating a wide variety of non-perishable foods and can goods. Keeping with their fine tradition, the "Latin Hurricanes" have once again completed another successful Holiday food drive.
The groups’ efforts collected over 200 pieces of non-perishable items, estimated to assist over 100 families in the New Britain community. Many of the participating students not only felt honored but blessed to play such an integral role in helping many of the families that count on programs like this just to sustain. As the holiday season begins and 2008 ends the ASPIRA Club would like to wish everyone a Happy Holiday Season and remind people that this type of service to our community is only made possible through selfless generosity. We hope that contributors will continue to support our on-going effort and we humbly accept your generous donations.
